Inca Trail Day 3

A long hiking day, down then up 2 more mountain passes.

Up early with the sun and clouds.

The trail continues down through a short cave.


Then down yet another set of very steep steps.

On the other side of this mountain is Machu Picchu. On the other side of the notch in the ridge to the right is the fabled Sun Gate where we will catch our first glimpse of the Machu Picchu ruins tomorrow.
